When Unreal Engine 5's Lumen lighting changed how studios approach exterior scenes, the lighting module was rewritten — not patched. Students work with the same constraints and file formats that production pipelines impose.

Spatial thinking, proportional scale, and how to read reference images for 3D application. No prior 3D experience required.

Hard-surface and organic geometry for architectural and natural environments. Covers block-out strategy, high-poly sculpting, and retopology for game-ready meshes. Students finish this module with a complete scene ready for texturing.

PBR material creation in Substance Painter, baking workflows, and how material properties interact with different lighting conditions. Emphasis on reading and interpreting real-world surface data.
